His name is Ryan and he's 2 1/2.  I have another little boy on the way, due in March.

Attempting to relax. I hardly slept at all last night (maybe 1 hour), and company just left.

Listening to some Fresh Aire III. Thumbs Up

Congratulations Pat (something tells me I knew you were expecting already)- I want my son to have a brother someday.

And if I lived to be 2112, I'd be the most cynical b*****d you've ever met.

Yes were very excited here - how old is your son and what's his name?  How many kids do you and your wife want?

His name is Simon.  He is 17 months.

And I think my wife wants 3, but I think I want a horde.  I figure when social security goes down the drain, I'll can count on at least one of 12 children being rich.

LOL  There's a sound retirement plan!

We'll most likely go for 3, but I don't think I'd want any more than that.

Well, my son's favorite song is "Can-Utility and the Coastliners," so I believe there's real potential in him.  LOL

(Seriously, every time he hears that opening guitar line, he gets really excited)

I borrowed a microKorg once.  Good fun indeed!  However due to the fact I only borrowed it, I couldn't re-program it, so I made-do with the defaults.

And as you are aware, that doesn't include a piano sound.

But I did make lots of Klaus Schulze random noises on it. LOL

No default piano (though there's a funky electric that I don't care for).  Programing this thing is a real pain, but I've produced two or three presets that suit me.  There's also a few factory presets I frequent.

You can download presets, I believe.  Yep, I didn't really look at the programming side of things because I wasn't allowed to but I gather it is indeed a sod.

I need a keyboard and I don't know what I want.  I love analogue but at the same time, I want to record and it's easier with a keyboard that does it for you (or will plug into a PC).

You can, but I don't have the proper cable to do that (my computer lacks MIDI inputs but has like 10 USB ports).

I use a middle of the road Yamaha, and I'm pleased with it.  With all the quality VSTIs out there, there's no reason to spend a fortune on real Mellotrons, mini-Moogs, etc.  Unless you have money coming out of your bum.

But digital Mellotrons aren't quite the same. Wink

I once got some midi samples of Mellotron (orchestral) and put them into Audacity and cut them up... bloody tough though.  I guess it's easy using a digital keyboard to do it. LOL

Have you had any chance to peruse my mind-numbingly awful prose yet?

Normal Mellotrons take up space.

Not yet.  I've got to get this music finished before Christmas, or it'll be next year before my music is available.  I will though.  You have my word on it.

New topic: One of the best shows you will ever see, It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia.

If you've never seen it, every episode is on Hulu and WATCH IT NOW! It's like Arrested Development and Seinfeld with 10 times more hatred and self-loathing.
if you own a sodastream i hate you
