I was going to be all iconoclastic and put a jazz album in the album of the year thread, but then I realized I couldn't pick a favorite for jazz or prog. Being mentally unable to quantify levels of enjoyment kind of sucks sometimes. ;-)

Well I need this album I'm not listening to at the moment (just MySpace samples but bloody hell are they good!).

Then this could creep into my top 2008 albums list.

But this band are Mexican and I have no idea how to obtain their album.

I think I've only heard a little bit of him (too much music, too little listening time), but from what I can remember, he's great.

I was watching a programme about Swing and well, I like a lot of the 1920s and 1930s swing.  The popular Swing has less of an affect and the vocal swing of the Brat Pack is annoying.

I like Mack the Knife but only by people like Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald.  Frankie can put his somewhere rude and more preferably, up Robbie Williams' arse ('cause he also did a terrible version).

I prefer Be-bop and post-bop mind you.

I hate Greenday with a passion.

I'd rather listen to Spock's Beard.

Greenday is up there among my most hated bands.
With Wolfmother, all those "RETRO RAWK" bands, and the pop-punk/rock thing, urghhhhhhhhhh.
