Yeah!
Just got a call from my boyfriend! He's keeping his job after all.
Well, only three or four days a week, but it's better than losing it altogether! |
We have good news in the house

Everyone will have a great day/weekend, except me most likely, haha.

A friend of mine was meant to come down for 3 days to see, but I suspect she will make up some crap excuse not to come and effectively ruin my whole weekend.
As has happened so many times before this year, it's not funny. And people wonder why I became such a recluse this year, geezus.

Well, you don't have to have a recluse weekend just because your friend doesn't show up.
Maybe she'll come anyway.

I generally expect the worst, and also expect to be a recluse most weekends. Well on the positive side, it means I can read more books/do more collab work, hehe.

Reading's always good!
For some reason I thought you were involved in your area's metal/pub scene musically.
I want to get started on a John Donne anthology during the holidays!

80s era Crimson is one of the greatest things to happen to music. Ever.

I live in a crappy suburb with no local pub/metal scene. The most metal thing in my area is my study room where I play metal on guitar and/or listen to metal songs on Itunes. Metal is not big in Melbourne. So many metal bands from Australia end up relocating to Europe or the US because the Australia scene is a heap of crap. But high pitched singing, whiny, pretentious pop bands is:(

All right... this has to be said: The Peculiar Pretzelmen are coooool!
Don't we all have to deal with pretentious pop anyway?
You should hear ours: it's in French to make it even worse!

That's impossible! You can never have enough Izzard. Have you seen him life? One of the best nights of my life.

Haha, never got into 80s Crimson myself. I think the stuff The Cure did in the 80s was better than 80s KC, just me I spose.

I'm in a huge minority, but despite loving absolutely all Crimson, the 80s era/lineup is my favorite. The Neal and Jack and Me DVD is the best DVD I own. Then again, I'm a Belew fanboy, and Fripp, Levin, and Bruford are all favorites of mine as well. I love 80s Crimson like I do 80s Rush.

I like In the Court, but it's actually one of my least favorite Crimson albums, if not my least favorite.
