No more Saxon for you, June.

It's all about Magma.

Yes, I know, I know: Saxon will make me blind...

But all the songs I heard from Magma still creep me out a little. I'm not quite ready yet. Embarrassed

A lot of it can be very uplifting and majestic, though.

When you're ready, you'll soon be addicted.  It happened to me.  Tongue

however.. for those who don't have it .. or know...

subscribe to Napster....  sitting here looking at all Magma's album....  for a minimal charge... all at your fingertips to listen to...screen on your computer to buy at your leisure. Without sinking 30 bucks into an album just on a recommend.

LOL  I did take his advice, found out that almost all the Magma albums were on emusic, then started with the debut...the rest is history Big smile

The only creepy bit for me is the ending of M.D.K. on Retrospektiw I-II.

That is very depressing and actually does upset me... it sounds like a mass extermination by a huge laser canon and space ships.

It reminds me of the Holocaust.

Ah yes.

I have:

The debut
1001 Degrees Centigrade
Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh

Nah, I have three albums and the box set will mean duplicates and I hate having duplicates and I never sell CDs.  Never!

Theusz Hamtaahk, not MDK.  But yes, definitely very very scary.

It's like the funniest thing since Eddie Izzard and Tommy Tiernan. It's this knights of the round table table thing with Arthur as a main character but surrounded with morrons (Merlin probably being the whinniest, most idiotic of them all)

Then definitely get the next two at least.

I don't listen to Attahk or Udu Wudu as much as other ones, I should though.

Yes, I stand corrected.

But there is a droney bit on on the end of M.D.K. as well.  The same one-note noise is present on the album and on the Retrospektiw I-II version.  It hurts my ears.

And I like the fact it does.

Guapo also hurt my ears but again I like it. Big smile

Does sound funny.  My wife and I saw Spamalot on Broadway a few years ago.

I have this thing called a hard drive and it sits in my laptop.  It has Magma's whole discography (well, official albums) on it (minus Merci), so I can listen to their albums at any time.  I also have Theusz Hamtaahk Trilogie and some bootlegs.

It's just I would like them on CD eventually. Big smile

Also, I'd like to get the alternative version of M.D.K. from the Seventh Records remaster of that album.  I have the standard version.  I need that bonus version!

Yeah, that's why I'm trying to find the subtitled episodes, but can't... Unhappy

Spamalot? That's like a Holy Grail spin off?
