Laurent Thibault, original bassist for Magma and also their first producer (as well as the author of a very nice solo album from the 70s), assisted Bowie and Eno in the creation of "Low" and Iggy Pop's "The Idiot" albums.  He actually played some of the bass parts, and he was the sound engineer.

"The Idiot" was for the most part created simultaneously with "Low", in the same studio by the same people.  "The Idiot" was effectively a testing ground for "Low"; however, Bowie opted to release "Low" first so it wouldn't look like he was influenced by Iggy rather than the other way around.

The Electric Prunes put out two Rock masses in 1968 that are very progressive and
were helped by the sometimes classical composer David Axelrod.

Jordan played with Jan Hammer's and Vinnie Moore's bands before that. Moore's Time Odyssey came out in 1988 and is a nice "preview" of what Jordan would do later with DT.

I'd like a verification on this one. I don't know if it really is true or it really is just a rumor (as I heard it).

Iron Maiden tried to recruit James LaBrie from Dream Theater in the 1990's when Dickinson left, but LaBrie turned them down.

This reminded me of another one that I am unsure of.

Is Meddle pronounced like metal or like medley?
