Kingsy, the Japanese like to give everything a fancy name. Just a record shop devoted to progressive rock. Interestingly there is no prog-metal there. Absolutely zero. Not even Rush. They're all in the 'Heavy Metal Hall'. Had a visit yesterday and found the following things: Univers Zero Live in London 1978 cd boot Endless Can triple-cd boxsets (and I do mean endless) Magma 12-cd boxset Pink Floyd enormous cd/dvd box retailing at 40000yen (about 200UK) King Crimson pink island vinyl In The Court UK issue around 4000yen (also noticed Dom 'Edge of Time' and Walter Wegmuller's 'Tarot' on vinyl) A beautiful 10-cd box of 'introdution' Italian-prog with the box a cover of Zarathustra etc etc If you like yer box-sets then you know where to go! |

Damn, i want that 10-cd Italian Box, but i suppose it was so expensive, wasnŽt it?
Lucky Yukorin with all those jewels that you find...
I found outside PA the name of Paga Group, which suppose to be one of the thousand side project of ex Magma bassist Bernard Paganotti, i dont know if you have mentioned it before in this thread, but anyway iŽd like to know if you like or suggest it

I dare not ask the price memo but knowing Japan it is probably something like: One cd price multiplied by ten add on five percent tax. If you buy a 24 can case of beer here it is the same. One can price times 24. That box set was absolutely beautiful though. Sumptuous textured sleeve an' all! |

Black velvet is your man here memo. I got burned too many times with ex-Magma projects. Expect some typical French jazz-rock. His son and daughter (half French/Japanese) have been part of the new Magma line-up for some time. Have a listen to KA again where they excel! |

Memo, I have listened to but don't own Paga's first album. Their sound is very much strongly towards the Jazz-zeuhl boundries. At times they hold a similar to sound to Weidorje, but from my view a much more technical and intense album. Definately give this one a try if you are into the Jazzy side of the genre. Paganotti never fails to impress with his technical ablities, alongside a more than compitent line up. |

Sounds quite interesting, im not an expert in the genre, but im trying to dig it deeper and deeper , i do like the jazzy side of Zeuhl, so maybe this could be nice for me.
Thanks Adam

If the jazzier side is interesting to you, then try Potemkine (if you haven't done so already).
Especially Triton and Nicolas II.
