o hai gaiz

That would be a glorious day!

So...that'll be the couple days before I go to see Magma. LOL

Yes
Campus police were notified of extremely loud, unusual music spoken in alien language coming from one students dorm. They tried to speak to said student but couldn't enter the room because they're not worthy

When asked why they were "not worthy" they could get no response from the student apart from MAGMA ISS DEH HUNDIN!!!  Once they finally entered by force, the student continually yelled IMA SURI DONDAI until he was finally sedated.  The student is currently under psychiatric evaluation.

It would be one the best college stories yet

I'm tempted to do it just so that I can send a link of the story to the Shred. LOL  But not really.  I'd kind of like to get out of State College (the good way, mind you, by graduating).

One of the campus Police was Walter.  He didn't like you playing Ementehtt-Re even though it was mostly composed before 1989.

BTW Necron, I have that Gojira album now, From Mars to Sirius...
It's actually a lot better than I expected it to be; Ocean Planet is an amazing tune.
They're super heavy but somewhat melodious, too.  Really good stuff. Thanks for the recommendation.

But you've got it wrong - he doesn't mind pre-80s bands releasing new music, just post 89 bands.

Hmm. What's it like? Really heavy with melodious undertones, I'm presuming...

Thumbs UpGlad you like it.
Indeed, they're one of the few bands that can rival Meshuggah in heaviness.

I like how different they are for a death metal band: not super technical, but with a main focus on excellent riffing instead.  And they do it well.  Super fun to see live too.
The Way of All Flesh (their newest) is pretty good, but not quite as good as Mars.  It sounds a little too commercial, but there's some excellent moments on there too.

In fact, this one is probably my favorite Gojira song, and damn if it isn't one of the heaviest things I've ever heard:

Not as such.

I'd say it was more atmospherically heavy.  They're not a metal band but are heavier than many metal bands.  I know that sounds weird but it's true.

Black Oni is entirely instrumental.  It's also got Zeuhl undetones.
