This.

And didn't the guy want a break so the band let him have it? Ermm Sounds to me like Portnoy's kind of a whiner.

The new Dream Theater chapter has begun......

Or the first chapter of LaBrie, Mangini, Rudess, Petrucci, & Myung.

Which, if they remain as concise as they did in A Dramatic Turn Of Events, is a good thing.

IDK if it's over, but I doubt that he would ever join DT ever again and even if he does, I doubt LaBrie would continue to be in the band; maybe Myung would quit too.

I can see either Petrucci or Rudess or both collaborating with him in the future, maybe in LTE, but not in the near future, at least.

He's almost the New Yorker Roger Waters now (Roger wanted to take everybody off the band, after all, I suppose there's a difference LOL). As Henry has brilliantly put in the past: "nice career move, dick".

Mike now you've  lost all your credibility and the few fans  that still were on your side . It 's sad to see that you can't move on .

It's quite amazing that none here has sided with Portnoy yet. It seems PA is full of reasonable people after all. Or maybe we are all idiots who can't understand one man's long road through suffering and pain.

Worst thing is, when in 25 years Portnoy and DT reunite for one special fundraising-type event, unlike with Waters and Gilmour, nobody will give a damn f**k.

Now where are Charlie Dominici's damn lawyers...

Eh, I'll continue to support the guy cuz I like his drumming, but, yea, this was silly. I mean, I think they may have been a bit dickish to him, but, wow, way to rise above, Mike.

I was asked to leave my secondary school chess club after I didn't turn up for a year. I'm on the phone to my lawyers now....

You don't ask a successful, productive band to go on hiatus while you sort things out and tour with Avenged Sevenfold. You don't get pissed when they don't want to. You don't sue your friends and bandmates when you left the band.

Weymolith resigned as mod from the Mike Portnoy forums because he was so upset. Apparently, he has been the primary moderator there for 10+ years.
Quote can no longer be a party to cleaning up these messes. After working for Mike for peanuts and perks for 11 and a half years, Todays revealing by Blabbermouth is pretty much the final straw. I feel that I have been lied to after doing all that I can to keep this site peaceful, free of the bullsh*t drama and going to bat for MP and defending him to the point where I feel sometimes that I am the most hated person in the Dream Theater community. I can no longer feel that my integrity and morals are not compromised.

Those of you that want or need to get ahold of me, know how to find me. If not, a simple check of Google will provide you with 5 other emails you can use to contact me. I'll check in every now and again, but at this time, my post will probably be removed and my IP address banned."
 -Wey

This was so upsetting that Portnoy's wife called him, and now he's back.

Meanwhile, Mike's Facebook page is exploding with hate. This is The Best.
