best? or fave?
These polls are always misunderstood, or maybe bad told with the title.

These are my faves:

Keyboardists: #1 Jon Lord
              #2 Rick Wakeman
              #3 Tony Banks
              #4 Richard Wright
              #5 John Evans

Drummers:     #1 Bill Bruford
              #2 Carl Palmer
              #3 Ian Paice
              #4 Billy Cobham
              #5 Phil Collins

mommy:  Oh, they never die, dear.  They're brought back to life, again and again and again.

nice list.. in fact damn near exactly what I would put.. you nailed the drummers.. and were pretty close on the keyboardists... two I would change

not a fan of the group.. but give the man his due.

that Ratridge dude from Soft Machine LOL in the 3 spot..

as much as love Leone...  would take Toni Pagliuca from Orme. Bigger body of work.. and his work on Felona e Sorona is just as impressive as YS.. just obviously a different flavor.

I don't really like too many keyboardists, but Derek Sherinian would have to win for me, and for drummers, not prog, but Flo Mounier. He's unnatuarlly good.

Somehow I knew you would do that !  Picture and all , your PC probably looks like Emerson's Zoukra Moog module! Confused   I just wasn't familiar with the term. In Canada , we call it something else!

Thankfully a synthesizer can only be a Cinthia Size A , nothing more! A mellotron is a mellowtron and an organ , oops , different names for that LOL Censored
