I guess I'm in the minority here, I hardly ever listen to full albums anymore, what with thousands of MP3s on my hard drive at home or at work, always on "random" or "shuffle". Most of the discs in my cars are mp3 disc compilations, I actually think my music listening has been revolutionized over the last few years.
To answer the question, I had lost my original copy of Van Halen's first some time ago, finally picked up a new copy and played it through quite a few times, that was 3-4 weeks ago.

I think we loose some of the magic when we use "shuffle" to flick through songs.
I have been using Audacity to record my albums in full ... I save them as mp3 so that I can get a few albums on the one CD in the car. If the source CD has bonus tracks I save one mp3 file as the original play list and one with the bonus tracks (because I am not sure just yet that I want to keep the mp3 file with the bonus tracks because most of the bonus tracks are just a distraction and I really think I would be better off without them).
Anyway, I always prefer to listen to the whole album, time or journey length permitting.
The last full album I listened to was S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things today (which is an album that should perhaps grace PA as it is a great concept album and arguably the first rock opera ... perhaps Proto-Prog).
I nearly got to listen to all of Ars Longa Vita Brevis , NICE, THE taking my boy to a party but got home again as I hit the 4th Movement.

Kattvals.
