Paul, there is no issue with voting in polls where you only know a few of the albums, voting for something you've never heard makes you sound like a troll or acting the fool. Rating albums you've only listened to one or two tracks from is wilfully asinine.

I should mention that they weren't official PA ratings I gave to albums where I'd only listened to one or two tracks. They were the star ratings I gave to albums on my various prog blogs, which no one takes much notice of anyway. Big smile

LOL that's funny.  I do admire your honesty though :)

I rarely participate unless it's 60s-90s as I feel awkward if I see albums on the list that I don't know.  That is particularly true for most Y2K onwards or a genre I don't like.

Good to know that voting if you only know one or two of the albums is still OK, but not sure if I could bring myself to do that unless I have actually listened to the majority (50%+).

I guess it's pretty obvious where my vote went.

But no votes for "Through Silver In Blood"? That's insane.

As suitkees said, 0. The forum users know pretty well that the live album you mentioned (and I included in the poll) is a peculiar entity of its own and has no reasons to be mistaken with the excellent studio album.
Good.

It heartens me to see so many votes for Thrakattak, although personally, despite being into both KC and much experimental stuff, find it a bit directionless. I prefer Signify and Morningrise and will vote for Opeth - not a fan of death growl but musically this is such a strong album, and sitting at only one vote currently.

Signify +1

I'm not into Neo, but The Masquerade Overture is a fine album.

Pendragon is followed closely by KC... Maybe it's time for the neo-proggers to win!
