Third is a phenomenal record but I don't really think this one's close. Bitches Brew is one of those pieces of music that just feels a bit like it reflects everything. |
Well said. It truly is an apex of jazz rock for me, personally.

One of my favorite things to do late at night - especially in the summer - is listen to Bitches Brew, and look at surrealism/metaphysical art.
That combination is so winning for me. |
Sounds like a good idea to me.

Give it a couple of spins; good headphones are required, of course. I tend to play it at a decent volume over my PA, and the mix sounds great through my speakers.

It truly is, my friend. Nothing like a little Giorgio de Chirico and some Bitches Brew to set the summertime mood!

More spins will be spun for sure, as I already dig it! Can't really set a summertime mood here in Victoria at the moment though...

Oooo good one. I have to go with the Softs, even though I prefer Fourth...both I prefer more than Bitches Brew. BB has quite a few moments where I just go "damn that is brilliant...!!"

No worries my friend, this album is pure magic IMHO. Here in NH, it's the perfect summertime record. Sun setting, couple of beers, and Bitches Brew blasting through my PA while I look at works such as:
The combination of Bitches Brew and the above examples on a summer's eve just hit all the right notes for me

I know surrealism may not be everyone's cup of tea (or pint of beer), but here's to art!
