Better than avant-progressive, better than Tech/Extreme Prog Metal.

I even think Avant-Progressive is a better classification, considering bands as Mr. Bungle, Secrets Chiefs 3, Vladimir Bozar 'NZSO...

Moonchild Trio is more of a Metal band, from what I've heard.

Pretty good. With Trevor Dunn and Mike Patton, not really of fan of these guys, but MCT is good.
I like their first album. It's only rated 2.75 or something here.
