It is excellent, Rico.  A very enjoyable album.

But it's their weakest release.  It's a 4.5/5 rather than 5/5.

I don't especially think War should be on the album firstly.  It's more like a Slapp Happy track.  I'd have personally preferred something like No More Songs or perhaps something more experimental, like With the Yellow Half-Moon and Blue Star or the Guider Tells... tracks.  I'd have also personally loved a full-length Henry Cow version of Hodgkinson's Hold to the Zero Burn aka  Erk Gah.

This requires no explanation regarding music (explanations that are of an impenetrable fanboyism anyway Wink).

It was just the mix of superlatives and negatives. Worst was still "bad in extreme degrees", last time I checked.

I think I can safely agree with that statement.  At least Joel's getting into Magma though, that's a start. Wink

There is hope yet. Now if only we can get him to say Western Culture is the best album ever.

Not best album ever but best Henry Cow album. Big smile

Not even that.

From the original studio albums, it is.

No.

Best electronic album of the year here. And most likely of the decade.

I wouldn't quite call it "electronic" as much as many other releases in the last decade.

And as much as I love it, just no to your second part.

Then kidnap him and ask him, that way you don't get fired, just imprisoned.

I'm actually in a stage now where I'm not really marketing at all. I'm postponing all of that for hype on the next album. All of the songs are nearly finished, pretty much, so I'm not sure when it will be--could be anytime within the next few months.

When that one is released, you'll know, since I'll be marketing it crazily.

Hmm... sounds like I might like your new album better.  More accessible this time, or only higher in quality?
