I can certainly understand you're sentiments regarding the Ludwig remasters from 97. They're definitely warmer sounding. There are some more details brought out in these new remasters, but as we're square in the middle of the 'loudness wars,' I think I'm with you on this as well. I think the early recordings benefited from these new remasters, but I can't say the same for the later releases, although Moving Pictures sounds pretty darn good to my ears.
