Myriad, already haven proven himself in the arena by defeating Tarkus, has chosen to glorify himself even further by challenging a second champion.  Üdü Ẁüdü does not speak as he comes out, and only prepares himself for Myriad's first strike.  Myriad, obviously eager, dashes forward with his halberd.  At the last second, Üdü Ẁüdü leaps into the air and kicks Myriad in the face, knocking him to the ground.  The silent combatant attempts to plunge both daggers into Myriad's back, but only succeeds in pushing them against the chain mail.  Myriad regains his feet and feebly attacks again, but misses.  In response to Myriad's failure this time, Üdü Ẁüdü's knife finds his foe's flesh.  Myriad raises his halberd and scores two quick hits in succession, but feels Üdü Ẁüdü's knife once more.  Myriad tangles one of Üdü Ẁüdü's knives in the intricacies of his halberd's blade, and uses the shaft to repeatedly beat his opponent in the face until he collapses.  The defeated Üdü Ẁüdü speaks: "Ẁurdah Ïtah!"

Simple math played into this one.  While Üdü Ẁüdu scored more hits, his damage roll was only 1d4, and with Myriad's chain armor, Üdü Ẁüdu didn't really have a chance there.  Hell, Üdü Ẁüdu even rolled a natural 20 but could only manage five points of damage.

Time for a new fight!  While Rubycon is a capable user of pole arms, and going up against another capable user of pole arms, he is choosing to wield a large sword today.  We'll see how it works for him.  Mei shows what he can do with a mighty swing, and his weapon gets caught in Rubycon's body!  Rubycon attempts to make better of his situation but cannot lift his weapon in any meaningful way.  Grinning madly, Mei twists his halberd inside Rubycon's body, and Rubycon screams as his blood showers his foe.  This gruesome display continues for the duration of the match until Rubycon manages to remove himself from Mei's blade and collapse in intense pain.  I looks like a piece of one of his organs is still attached.
