Brain Salad Surgery! I love TfTO, LTiA and APP, but BSS is the clear winner of 1973.
Kudos also to the guy who mentioned Renaissance's album.

Wow! I voted for Lark's Tongues in Aspic. It was hard not to vote for SEBTP, but it's an uneven album for me. I like all of Hackett's parts, though.

These are all really good choices. My favorite is Jethro Tull's Passion Play. Perhaps the only time I would vote for Tull in this series of polls. It's just head and shoulders above the rest of the Tull albums IMO.

Amazing, what a year! Except for A Passion Play, which I don't like, they're all straight masterpieces IMHO! Dark Side Of The Moon is the winner for me.

Very difficult to choose between Genesis & KC. I voted for LTIA because it needs some votes.

I am currently digging:
Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!
Please drop me a message with album suggestions.

I have never understood the love for SEBTP. For me it's half very good and half very boring. Dark Side is my choice.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

BSS gets my vote. After that TFTO. Both divide opinion but those bands were 'pushing the envelope' musically.
DSOTM and SEBTP just don't do it for me. Even though they have some exceptional tracks I just can't get excited listening to them and don't feel I'm being challenged in any way. I suspect its the lyrical content that elevates these albums and that's not so important to me.
