Banks, Hackett, Collins, Rutherford, Gabriel, Phillips in that order.  Not a clunker here although I never understood the very high esteem for Geese and the Ghost.  I'll have to play it again.

Even Face Value is not bad (at least two songs aren't). In the lot the one I loke most, not necessarily the best, is Smallcreep's Day
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Come on guys enough of the Collins hate, Face Value is a very good album, just not as progressive as the rest.
A GREAT YEAR FOR PROG!!!

Car is probably the coolest, I could never really get into Acolyte besides the ending song which is perfect

As some one said above it has a few decent tracks but it's a far cry from what Gabriel and Hackett did on their first ones.

BTW...the Wiki article about him claims that he's often cited as the 'most hated man in rock'.
Ouch

Can't get over the lack of love for ACF.  Is it that you don't care for this album or Hackett's, Gabriel's and Phillip's are so good?

I feel this way also. Both are quite different from each other, but extremely beautiful, and true masterpieces IMHO.

"In The Air Tonight"
"Behind The Lines"
"I Missed Again"

Those three songs alone make it a great album. Yes, it's "mainstream" music, and there's nothing wrong with that. Think of all those sub-par prog bands that recorded albums stuffed with all the right sounds ('Tron, Gibson guitar, Rick bass) and boring songs.

Voted for Gabriel but it could have been Hackett on another night. I also like and own the Ant Phillips album but don't own the others having heard them and passed on purchasing them.

Same with me. I remember liking Smallcreep's day, but I haven't listened to it for a long while and can't hardly remember it. Scratch, Melt, and Security are my favorite Gabriel albums.

Great album, with great songs, as other Phil's albums.

"Most hated man in rock"? I thought Axl Rose wore that crown...with none to challenge him!

Face Value is my favourite from here, and the only of his solo albums I liked. If you had asked favourite progressive album I would have said VOTA, then TGATG, and ACF.  Haven't heard Smallcreep's Day.

Tough choice for me since I really like both Geese and ghost and VotA. However, I went with the debut PG album. I like the diversity on it.
