^Happy to see GUP getting some love. It's such an underrated album I feel. Takes a second to grow on you, but it ages really well.

Ooh, good list. Opera de Reims is a bit of a cop out, though. You get to list a fair chunk of Magma's discography with that one.

Alright, this is a difficult list to make, particularly when limited to prog. My list from 1-5 is pretty much cemented in place, but 6-10 could change.

You see I instantly feel bad for not including Il Balletto di Bronzo's Ys and Tangerine Dream's Alpha Centauri - which are every bit as amazing as the aforementioned albums....

Yeah, I think it's a tie between Lizard and Sharks' Lungs in Plastic for me, but I listened to Lizard here the other day, and it blew my socks off! With Weather Report I much prefer their early abstract ferociousness to the smooth everyday fusion they started dishing out in the mid 70s. Jaco is great though.
So cool to see you digging Ze Smiths. Love love love that band!
Oh and btw, I see you included Jaga Jazzist in your list as well. Have you checked out their new Live with Britten Sinfonia? One of the best releases of 13 imho.

Yea WR were in their prime their first 6 albums or so, their debut and Mysterious Traveler ranks 2 and 3, not sure in which order though sometimes.
KC is weird band for me, their with VdGG of the classic bands that i actually LOVE - but i have to be in a certain mood to listen to their albums besides the common playing of Ginjeet or Easy Money (my favorite song of theirs).
And to The Smiths? Recently got into them and Morrisey (Lord and Savior), and i'm quite hooked. I listen to Hatful of Hollow at least 3 times a week in it's entirety. Morrisey wise, his album Beethoven Was Deaf is by far my favorite. Jack the Ripper was my introduction, and oh what an introduction that was. The guitar, the lyrics, vocals, mmmm ;D
And yes i have, i watched the live footage on YouTube too. One Armed Bandit sounded hot!

Recently I find myself more and more attracted to Strangeways here we come - an album I didn't think much of back when I bought it in high school. Now I absolutely adore it. Morrisey solo is a bit hit and miss with me, but I do like the debut.
Oh and Easy Money is da bee's knees comrade

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.
