Thanks for the tip-off, Dave! I did think at the time of grabbing it, but the price must have put me off taking the risk! I think I also noticed it was from 1984, and thought that it could go either way due to that.

No, I'm not one to collect average albums on purpose, althogh I DO have a few that I do defend!

Man after all the posts boasting about In Den Garten Pharaos i decided to spin it right away(hey i'm unemployed and at homeLOL) anyway what a monster this is. Florian's second album with two side long tracks. Love the second track with all of that organ. Hey i wanted to quote Brandon from the Ground & Sky site, well paraphrase is more like it. "While Klause Schulze and Tangerine Dream's goals were to take you to the planets and stars, Popol Vuh's goals is to take you right into the presence of God himself". Man he ain't sh*ttin' anyone after listening to this album.

Several goodies in this one as well!  I vote for Present - High Infidelity.
I think I might have voted for TD - Force Majeure, as I recall loving it the one time I heard it about 20 years ago, but I've not been able to find it since!  Not even to stream!  Yargh!

Infocat just voted for this as well. How about the over 27 minutes Souls For Sale ! Man i love Dave Kerman's drumming on this album and Trigaux's angular guitar. Just an amazing album and maybe my fav PRESENT record.

I DO have the vinyl of `In Den Garten Pharaos' but not given it a spin yet, and I've had it for years. Going to dig it off the shelf right now, I know it's very loved and praised!
I just listened to Portable Madness and Force Majeure back to back. Both are so good but i am drawn a little more to the melancholy of that Sensations' Fix record. A lot of these in this poll i've either rated 4.5 stars or 5 stars so it's difficult. Love that FLOYD album in fact it's my fav pre-Meddle record by them. The cover art is so cool.

TD, Popol Vuh, Univers Zero and Thinking Plague are all great albums, but they can't compete (in my heart) with Saucerful of Secrets
