For the "classic" prog feel, The Underfall Yard is my choice. Though in a pinch, for something a bit different, but still a good listen, both Doomsday Afternoon, or The Hazards Of Love would do as well.
Enjoy whatever you choose.

Just in case someone else wants to make the same decision as the OP.

I got the Rush "Caravan" single. I don't like mp3s, but this was free after coupon and is essentially a download-only release.

Bitches Brew is essential for any serious fan of music.
Passion is Peter Gabriel's best album, but it is very different from all the rest.
Rubycon is one of my favorite Tangerine Dreams.

Many of these are good, but Bitches Brew is the only one I'd call absolutely essential.

Alright, so from the looks of the poll, Bitches Brew and possibly The Underfall Yard will become my next purchases.

I'll give it a day or two more.

Thanks!

I got a download too, a Steve Roach album I have been looking for for some years, but is very hard to find.  It is called Quiet Music.  The promo deal is a $3.00 credit to your account.  Foolishly, I thought the download would only cost that amount.  Still, I got a discount on 2 1/2 hours of music I've been wanting for a long time, so I am not complaining.

I'm not sure. A landmark album in the jazz fusion world granted, but I wouldn't call it essential. I can quite easily understand people not liking it.
