Those are not Cheetos, those are Cheese Curls, which have a lot lighter texture and are far superior to the Cheeto.

Untill recently, when the quality became very inconsistent, I'd have told you that the greatest cheese and air based crunchy snack was the Andy Capp Fry.

Cheetos taste like kitty litter.

 

Cheeto Woman is an oldie but a goodie.  The pic is silly enough to begin with, but the Cheetos in the soapdish push it over the edge into hilarity.

 

 

To answer the question - I'd say Cheetos have a slight edge if only because they're more consistent.  I don't particularly care for the Nacho Cheese Doritos (or Doriots), preferring the Cool Ranch flavor.  But what I REALLY liked was the Fiery Habanero Doritos.  Those were true mouth-burners!  They quit making them, but they brought them back briefly for the last Super Bowl.
