There's cheap violins too?

I'd really love to pick up violin again. It's a bit sad I gave up on it when i was a small child, but hey, would prolly never have found the guitar if I hadn't. My cousins play the violin... Though I think I could well enough pick it up without lessons... That's how the gypsies did it, right? Right?

Yeah, violins are one of the cheapest instruments at the student level. You should be able to get one (with bow and case) for less than $150. It's too bad one can't find comparably cheap cellos (or even violas).

Nice! Love the shape. As far as the knobs go, one is volume and the other is what?

I still own my violin. It was the first instrument I picked up. Unfortunately I have long played violin, and honestly don't even really remember how to play anymore. It's quite sad, but I feel as though I've simply moved.
