Today I've probably listened to Magma's "Hhai" and "Mekanik Zain".  Just last night I was thinking how I haven't been listening to Magma much lately, and so I opted to put on the Live/ Hhai album and it's Magma obsession all over again.

Generally I do listen to full albums more, though.

Other tracks that I'll mention that I've really loved over the last year (in no order of preference):
U Totem - "One Nail Draws Another", "Vagabond's Theme," and "Both Your Houses."
Zao - "Isis" and Shardaz""
Robert Wyatt - "Little Red Riding Hood Hit the Road" (both parts).
Picchio dal Pozzo - "Metanoia..." and "I Problemi..", "La Floricultura...,"  "Il Presidente..."
Eskaton - "Dagon," "La Danse des Feux," "Ecoute"
Present - "Le Poison Qui Rend Fou" (both parts), "Promenade"
Art Zoyd - "Musique pour l"Odyssee" and "La Ville"
Henry Cow - "The Decay of Cities," Beautiful as the Moon," "War"
Art Bears - "The Song of Investment Capital Overseas" and "Winter/War/Force/Three Figures"
Paga - "Mitchinoku" and "Une Parcelle d'Urantia"
Hoyry-Kone - "Karhunkaato," "Laina Ajalla" "Luottamus"
Vortex - "Haroun'..." and "Progomnes"
Koenjihyakkei - "Wammilica Iffirom" and "Graddinoba Revoss"
Comus - "Drip Drip," "Song to Comus"
Gong - "Isle of Everywhere," "Zero the Hero," "Other Side of the Sky"
Pascal Duffard - "Etre" (whole album really)
Yugen "la Rovine Circolari"
etc.

As I do tend to focus more on albums than individual songs, some of these are questionable in the list (ones where I would rather just listen to the whole album, but there are some standouts for me here).

I have to add another killer track i've been listening to this week called "Voici La Nuit Tombee" by the French band TRAVELLING.An 18 minute jazz infected ride. The vocals hint at Wyatt although this is mostly an instrumental.
"The wind is slowly tearing her apart"

"Sad Rain" ANEKDOTEN

Frank Zappa, Dirty Love

It won't last long, but I have had to watch myself last week from unconsciously singing about nasty poodles in the office.
Thank you, God of Rock, for this chance to kick ass

Prog: Just listened to the Pax Cecilia's "Blessed Are the Bonds" for the first time today.  A few songs on there have caught my ear.  Quite a few Pax Cecilia mentionings already in this thread.... Kind of surprised me....

Non prog: I've been listening to some Autechre starting this week, and I'm liking it.  Looking forward to the double LP in March.

Solar Musick Suite - Steve Hillage

I just got this album, and I can relisten to it over and over again. The last track "aftaglid" is my #2.

I guess I like it so much, because I just revently discovered GonG, and I found it to be such a refreshing genre of prog, and this is almost the same as GonG BUT more spacy (i love space!)

haha

Oh and i forgot!

La Princesse Perdue - Camel

One of the "saddest?"  songs I have heard for a while, a nice reprise of the title track, with a great epic feel to it.

"Idle End" by Nosound

Because it feels like a breath of fresh air amidst loads of releases in the last couple of years
{Flashlights shade shrunken views
Of a red demon’s foxtrot in brews
Guns & flowers crown morning news
Panic-stricken guilt now ensues}

Mastodon - Aqua Dementia

Right now I feel like listening to something intense, energetic, and crazy. Love the diminished chords on the chorus, and the pulloffs at the beginning.

I've been listening to the opening track from Stormy Six's not-all-that-brilliant Al Volo. The thumping, growling bassline is pure Les Claypool and the arrangement is just perfect. The album as a whole is something of a let-down, mind you.

I'm also spinning Cardiac's new single Ditzy Scene whenever possible. It is good.

Forgotten Sons by Marillion. Atleast, it was just now. It's a great song with great lyrics. I love the singing and aswell the music.

In about 1-3 minutes, Child In Time by Deep Purple. It's their most progy song (according to me!) with Ian Gillian (ever since I heard him as Jesus, I love his voice) and nice drums.

At the moment (but it changes rapidly)

Mythos - Encyclopedia Terra part 1 & 2 : A wild, gorgeous, dreamy-like melancholic epic piece with a nice concept behind it
