This is probably just me but I NEVER use the web to buy music. I got burned out of $200 the first and last time I tried it. Why not just go to the local record store and order it??????? Or just hunt the music down in stores. I`ve got well over 2000 vinyl albums and they all came from stores. Same with my CD collection. I mean, that was half the fun finally finding that elusive album. I even discovered a classical music store that could get more stuff on special order than any big retailer or any of the specialty shops in my whole city put together back in the `80s. You`ve got to get creative man!

^ I must have ordered more than 100 albums online ... I've never been "burned".
You shouldn't give up after the first attempt ... |

What if I say "Man, I think illegal downloading is terrible! People who do that have no respect for musicians or for the law!" ? Is that an acceptable reference to illegal downloading? Edited by thellama73 - July 27 2007 at 13:59 |

New Trolls and PFM are very easy to find even in mainstream music stores in Italy. Same goes for Banco, Le Orme, Alan Sorrenti and Area, to name a few - and it's often possible to get them discounted! Other, lesser-known bands are not as easy to find, and newer acts can only be found through specialised music stores such as BTF (www.btf.it), which I heartily recommend. As to myself, I've been trying to get hold of Anekdoten's "Vemod", but I was told it's extremely difficult to find. Another hard-to-get CD seems to be UK's "Danger Money", which I tried to order from Amazon.uk some months ago. After a three-month wait, they had to tell me that they hadn't managed to find it anywhere. |

There are hundreeds of albums I heard when I was young (15 or so; I can't remember titles, artists or whatever, since I herd all of them in a very rare radio show.

There are lots of copies available from Amazon.de (i.e. Germany). Some of the Marketplace ones are dirt cheap. You may not be able to read too much German, but the ordering system is exactly the same as with other Amazons and the postage rates are reasonable. |

Try amazon.uk or amazon.de; you can usually find them there. |

The 3 UK albums (UK, Danger Money and the live one Night After Night) are due for reissue soon AFAIK, with extra tracks, so it's probably worth the wait.
I too have never encountered any of Anglagard's albums, unfortunately.
Lately I've been picking up lots of Van Morrison CDs fairly cheaply- almost all of his back catalogue seems to have been deleted and they are now going for increased prices on various websites; E-Bay/Amazon and the like.
I don't really use the internet either; there's hardly anything that I've not been able to find eventually via CD stores/second hand record shops.

For some reason, I suddenly can't find 'Moving Pictures' in any of the local CD stores now that I've finally decided to buy it on CD.

^On the subject of Rush, 'Power Windows' and 'Hold Your Fire' have seemingly been unaccountably deleted in the UK. Their other albums are all in print, AFAIK. Very odd.

Hey, is 'Moving Pictures' abundantly available in the UK? I'm going there next month for a couple of days.

I think every Rush album is easy to find in the UK, save those two (haven't seen the debut around that much either but I'm not so fussed on that anyway). 'Moving Pictures' should be easy to find...

Thanks. It was abundantly available here when I was more interested in their 70s stuff. When I decided to buy it, it had suddenly disappeared from the stores in this godforsaken pathetic excuse for a country.
