The one that played it in Epitaph & The court of the crimson king  . The Moodies also made great use of it. It's not like in your face so I like it like in the song "House of four doors". Genesis also made a very good use of the mellotron. They where the runner up. Although I like Harmonium, I don't think the mellotron is put into much ggod use, the acoustic instruments are the protagonist in that band and theres no problem with that

Yes, you probably don't know Schicke, Fuhrs and Fröhlings "Symphonic Pictures", or you would have included it in this poll. Some of the most ominous Tron ever to terrorize the airwaves, and among the few who use it for melodies. Passport also has very cool Mellotron on Cross-Collateral and Looking Thru, only place I've ever heard it used in heavy funk.

A few months ago I bought Schicke, Fuhrs and Fröhling - Live 1975, it's loaded with The Mighty Tron  !
