For live performances I think Pat Metheny uses guitar synths more often than Fripp.

The self-titled album by Symphonic Slam stands to me as an underrated symphonic art-rock masterpiece. Notably, it is the earliest album I have encountered that features the innovative guitar synthesiser played by Timo Laine, which adds a unique sonic texture to its compositions.🎶🎸
Amongst the highlights of this celestial offering is the ethereal and timeless ballad "Everytime." 🌌✨ This song sums up a sense of grandeur and otherworldliness that resonates deeply with listeners, making it a standout moment on an already impressive record from 1976. ✨ 🌠

Al DiMeola used guitar synths occasionally. Here is one occasion.

The guitar synth also played a minor role on "Somewhere In Time" by Iron Maiden and "Turbo" by Judas Priest.

The guitar synth on this track is courtesy of Chuck Hammer.

The guitar synth in "Out in the Cold" on Turbo was pretty cool.
