Listened to some of Mabool, Orphaned Land recently. Excellent what I
heard - Ocean land, Halo dies, Norra el Norra, A'salk, Disciples of the
sacred oath and The calm before the storm. Also you can download an MP3
copy of a song called Mercy from a previous album that is really worth
listening to.
Symphony X does some middle eastern stuff. The song Home from Dream Theaters - Scenes from... Memory, as well.
Just outside prog there is The Tea Party who have a strong mid east emphasis amongst other things in their music.

Certain Spanish bands have an Arabic flavour, like Mezquita and Azahar.

The French band Tiemko and En El-Hakim from Medina Azahara, the eponymous album from Azahar, Recuedos de mi tierra from Mezquita, Al Andalus from Miguel Rios, the first album from Alamed, all Spanish bands with that typical Arabian flavor (they have invaded Southern Spain for ages).

Check out "The Dead Sea Scrolls" & "Esmerelda" by St. Elmo's Fire, from the album Artifacts Of Passion.

dead things don't talk too well, they've got a shaky sense of diction.

Ya, Mercy is on the 2nd disc of their Mabool album. It's an acoustic live cover of a Paradise Lost song. A very good song indeed! I love the lyrics...

I found some of that sounds in Tool.
Mostly in Disposition-Reflection-Triad.
