Thanks for putting in the hard work. Also glad to see Elder do well. Agree with above post that King Buffalo is a great band in the same territory.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Great band, their last album is a 2022 favorite. They should be suggested and added to PA. Heavy prog might be a good fit.

Great work everyone, and thanks for putting this together, Ian! As much as I admire Black Midi for going out on a limb with what they do I find I can only enjoy them in small doses. Still good enough to make my own list and deserving NO1 just for good intent if nothing else.
I voted Motorpsycho my NO1 which followed the 'Norwegian protocol' set by Wobbler - 4 great tracks! I expected The Flower Kings to do better, only 3 of us put them in their selection (me included) but I would have expected a few more lower placings at least. Also seems I am the only one who likes Glass Hammer. Is that because they are generally not available on streaming sites or people just feel they have no value I wonder..

I haven't listened to Glass Hammer in awhile, but not being on streaming sites is huge. There are so many artists that I was able to check out that there's no way I could afford to buy physical media for all of them. I haven't purchased physical media in a long time.
Ironically, my kids who are in their early twenties spend ridiculous amounts on vinyl.

Urgh, I accidently added all the votes for Ars de Er to Attacca Subito, I need to correct the main sheet as it affects the top 50.

what a lovely top indeed!
Interesting, I remember my band (STONED JESUS) was rejected, even though our transition to prog happened around the same time as ELDER's (2015), and KING BUFFALO guys were citing our album Pilgrims as a direct influence on their style But I guess it's the name - "lol they're called sToNeD JeSuS light one up duuuude" - that stops many from taking out music seriously...anyway, sorry for the offtop Edited by Prog-jester - February 21 2023 at 14:05 |

if the band released new music (since the rejection that is) they can be re-evaluated.

next Friday, our first LP in five years!
On a serious note, it's really cool to see stoner/doom/psych-prog appreciated here, we're literally invisible for any other music media (even most metal news sites) Edited by Prog-jester - February 21 2023 at 14:17 |
