there's no origin, it's the little I know and have listened. Happy to have come up with 70s bands only.

Do you think it's quite randomly that I ask you and not Paul?

Paul is the inventor of the term, I hope he can provide a logical explanation.

Poor taste perhaps, or maybe just al dente, but since I thought of this response... If you can get pasta certain language barrier, then the linguiniistics shouldn't be too much of an impediment to both listen to and understand the spaghetti. Shall we call English Prog "bangers and mash" Prog? I'd love to include Ennio Morricone and Egisto Macchi for my list, but will stick with ones in PA. Franco Leprino - Integrati ... Disintegrati Franco Battiato - Sulle corde di Aries Area - Caution Radiation Area Dedalus - Dedalus Fabio Frizzi - L'aldila Picchio dal Pozzo - Picchio dal Pozzo Goblin - Profondo rosso Sensation's Fix - Portable Madness Perigeo - Genealogia Il Balletto di Bronzo - Ys Banco del Mutuo Soccorso - Banco del Mutuo Soccorso Osanna - Palepoli Edited by Logan - November 09 2021 at 09:56 |

Forgot about Arti & Mestieri, great band, I've listened to three of their albums recently.

It's no more insulting than a spaghetti western or Krautrock.

Less insulting than calling someone a bugger potentially. |

it's a matter of being respectful, having common sense, being kind, more than semantics.

Spaghetti Western and Krautrock are today accepted names, ethically speaking, with no negative connotations.

Okay, if there's still some negative connotations in this word, then, Cristi and potentially others, sorry for my lacking knowledge of English.

It's more often the case that I'm usually the one who gets mocked here (not unfairly, it has to be said) for my somewhat eccentric tastes in music.

I'll also do only one album per artist, otherwise there'll just be a bunch of Area albums all at the top: 1. Area - Caution Radiation Area 2. Premiata Forneria Marconi - Per Un Amico 3. Homunculus Res - Limiti All'Eguaglianza Della Parte Con Il Tutto 4. Yugen - Iridule 5. Arti & Mestieri - Giro Di Valzer Per Domani 6. Picchio Dal Pozzo - Picchio Dal Pozzo 7. Dedalus - Dedalus 8. Maxophone - Maxophone 9. D.F.A. - Lavori In Corso 10. Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso - Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso 11. Breznev Fun Club - Il Misantropo Felice 12. Museo Rosenbach - Zarathustra NichelOdeon's latest album might make it into this list too from what I've heard, but I need to listen to it more attentively before my mind is fully made up on it. Also, as someone from "clog prog"'s country of origin I can say I do not feel the slightest bit offended by the term and I doubt any other Dutch person would be; even if it weren't used in good fun it's too silly to be upset over, although I certainly don't wish to discourage anyone who disagrees, or any German or Italian users who find the other two terms used to be inappopriate, from speaking up if they do.
