Paul, are you planning to continue this series of polls into the 1980s and beyond, or would you mind if someone else took over from here? I'm curious what top 10s people will put together for the years past the "classic era", when the consensus on good prog albums becomes more hazy.

I'd love to continue, but I can only find one favourite album from 1980, so I'll have to pass the baton onto someone else if they want to extend this series of polls into the 1980's and beyond. Smile

I have my doubts that I'll find 10 albums for some years in the 1980s. But if someone continues this forward, I'll certainly give it a try. There will be much to pick from once we get deeper into the 1990s.

^ Replicas should be on the site as a prog album imo. (maybe could be included just as Tubeway Army to avoid having to put all Gary Numan's stuff on??!)

Down in the Park off Tubeway Army's Replicas is a fine example of prog.

I doubt if it is prog, but I love that song.

^Why do you think it's not prog?

To me it feels more like synth wave and not comparable to Progressive Electronic.
