I'm a little out of my element here but I think it goes somewhat like this:

1. The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
2. Pink Floyd - The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
3. The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
4. The Doors - The Doors
5. Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic Pillow
6. Miles Davis - Miles Smiles
7. The Nice - The Thoughts Of Emerlist Davjack
8. Jefferson Airplane - After Bathing At Baxter's
9. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced?
10. H.P. Lovecraft - H.P. Lovecraft

I thought of including Lumpy Gravy but since the re-edited version from 1968 is the only version I've heard I'll hold off.

2- The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
3- Velvet Underground & Nico
4- Magical Mystery Tour
5- Strange Days
6- Sgt. Pepper's
7- The Doors

There was a lot protoplasmic stuff going on in the Jazz world--including several albums that are centric to the argument of "which was the first Jazz-Rock Fusion album?" Larry Coryell, Gary Burton, Michael Manieri not to mention multiple albums by John Coltrane (before his death), Miles Davis, Pharoah Sanders, Sun Ra, and Hugh Masakela.

^ Don't worry, you can vote for either of Spirit's two 1968 albums in the next poll, although their debut was recorded in 1967, so it gains a free pass in this poll too. Thumbs Up

They are one of my all time favorites....wish they had stayed together with the original members for another lp or 2.
Your list:
BRIAN AUGER - Open
THE DOORS - The Doors
H.P. LOVECRAFT - H.P. Lovecraft
JEFFERSON AIRPLANE - Surrealistic Pillow
THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE - Are You Experienced?
KALEIDOSCOPE (U.K) - Tangerine Dream
LOVE - Forever Changes
THE MOODY BLUES - Days of Future Passed
VANILLA FUDGE - Vanilla Fudge
THE ZODIAC - Cosmic Sounds

I have original vinyl on most of those except for Zodiac, Kaleidoscope and Love...and all on cd except for Zodiac. Eat your heart out. Wink

One does nothing yet nothing is left undone.

^ I have eight of those ten albums on CD. The only two missing from my collection are Brian Auger & Kaleidoscope, although I can make up for that deficiency by including them on my various prog channels. I might even get around to including The Beatles one day. Smile

Love aren't listed on PA so why are they being included on people's lists?

Because we want them to be included in PA--probably under Proto- or prog-related.

Neither are Cream or the Velvet Underground, but there's a lot of Love for them here too. Smile Heart
