Some good stuff here: I like Absolution and Damnation, but Out of Myself is one of the most stunning debut albums I've heard and gets my vote. I am desperate to get it on vinyl, but it's like gold.

1/3 of these are just brilliant, if you ask me. A tough one, but fortunately I'm a Riverside fanboi, and the poll asks for the "favorite", not "best".

Very difficult. Ended up with Deloused. An incredible album.
Contenders were Riverside and Opeth. I like Damnation, but it's not the music I usually look to Opeth for.

This was definitely one of the harder polls from this series. Generally I’ve not found it difficult to vote, with one album clearly far higher in my affections out of those listed. But there were a fair few here, and my heart was especially torn by choosing between TMV and Oceansize. I’m still not sure I made the right choice..... 😳

Arena - Contagion. An infectiously good album.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson
