Hard to choose between Relayer and Nursery Cryme, but it has to be Yes by a short head. Animals is in third.

Very close, since these four albums are really good, but I'll vote for Genesis.

I'll even up the score between 'Relayer' and 'Nursery Cryme' as my vote goes for Yes' magnificent release.

It would be a Cryme for me not to vote for Genesis.

Most relaxing and best sounding - Animals Most extravagant and bombastic - RelayerMost spellbinding and inspiring - Nursery Cryme Most ambitious and complex - The Power and the Glory Hmm. I know! I'll go with Gentle Giant this time! |

The Power and the Glory, though all are wonderful and worthy of many listens for years to come. I guess I voted in this already a while ago but never commented.
That GG is just one of my favorite albums ever. But it was up against my pick for best PF, and probably my favorite Yes as well.

Nursery Cryme - Genesis .. the only thing that lets it down is its terrible production .. sounds cheaply recorded.

Toss up between Relayer and Nursery Cryme, but I have to vote for NC as it is the first prog album I ever heard, and that led me to buying Genesis Live and the rest is history.
EDIT - just noticed I already commented in this over a year ago! (however it let me vote again). Edited by chopper - November 17 2020 at 04:58 |
