I just feel bad for The Nice, even f%@#ing Chicago got votes
Stand Up is just dull and ironically Monster Movie is arguably weirder than Trout Mask Replica, even if just for the incomprehensible vocals that make Captain Beefheart sound like Chris Martin.

1. Uncle Meat 2. The Thoughts Of Emerlist Davjack 3. Volume Two 4. Ummaguma 5. Trout Mask Replica
Sorry could put the Nice in first spot but like the Nice always have and is better stuff than ELP

The thing about the Nice is that they're nice, but, as the saying goes, nice guys always finish last.

Any band with Keith Emerson and Davy O'List in was never going to be Nice, maybe that why they called themselves The Nice

Too bad Barclay James Harvest weren't around in the late 60's. [/QUOTE]
Their were already in 1967 (at least), made a few singles and started recording their first album in 1969 :) I really like their unique sound at the time.

You may see a smile on Tony Banks´ face but that´s unlikely.

I'm more comfortable ranking things if I've just relistened to them. Some of these I haven't heard in some time. But per memory, I'd rank them something like this.
Frank Zappa/Mothers - Uncle Meat The Nice - The Thoughts Of Emerlist Davjack Jethro Tull - Stand Up Chicago - Chicago Transit Authority Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica The Moody Blues - In Search Of The Lost Chord Amon Duul II - Phallus Dei Santana - Santana Soft Machine - Volume Two Pink Floyd - Ummagumma Procol Harum - Shine On Brightly High Tide - Sea Shanties Can - Monster Movie
