I was actually going to revisit some Faust albums tonight, but I guess that's off the table now.

Those two are from Tales though right? Sneaky man If my memory serves me well, that album has improved with every new spin...even if there is something like a year in between each listen. I could of course just listen to the tunes offered up in this little joust of Darryl's
Nah..you know what? I'm going to transfer Tales over to my iPod for closer inspection. Who knows, maybe I'll love it.

I'll see if I can find the cd somewhere in my music wilderness. Everything is jumbled together...even more so than usual (I just moved out of my apartment and chaos prevails). Cheers Jim

Machine Messiah mostly, I'm not really fond of the other ones. Second choice would have to be "To be over", though... that one has some really wonderful melodies, but at some point it drags for a bit too long. I prefer the acoustic versions of To Be Over mostly because you keep the wonderful melody and lose the very lame lyrics... My order: Machine Messiah Perpetual Change To Be Over On the Silent Wings of Freedom Astral Traveller
| Yeah, missing the vocals actually helps this versions... even if I do mostly love Anderson's singing, and I haven't really paid much attention to the lyrics, so I wouldn't say that I find them lame. And in general the melody sounds more focused and doesn't drag for so long alternating between guitars, keyboards and vocals.

The same goes for me. Confirmation bias for the win.

To Be Over On the Silent Wings of Freedom Perpetual Change Machine Messiah Astral Traveller
Actually this was very tight; all these have good Yes quality, but then I'd count none of these among my Yes favourites. To Be Over is something special in the Yes catalog, and it's an essential (though not the best) part of my fav Yes album, so it wins by some distance; the other four are pretty much on one level.
