Vezhlivy Otkaz by a country mile on that list, it was my album of the year that year. Probably top 5 of the decade for me. Only other one I really like is GY!BE.

I saw that album and was so confused what the hell it was. Never heard of it, or seen it in any thread.

Russian Folky Avant band who's album's weren't readily available in the West until AltrOck started distributing them starting with this one. Highly recommended if you are into edgy avant folk and don't mind lyrics in a language you don't understand. I bought all their re-issues since then but this is still my favorite.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

^Great album but, for me at least, marred by faux American styled vocals. Everything else about the record is brilliant though, but those vocals annoy the hell out of me.
I went with Vespero. Fantastic album!

Go with GY!BE cos is one of the most illuminated albums of the band and post-rock genre... But got to recoginze that Hypnos' Legacy, Aquarius and X are very, very close...

I don't own and have never heard any of those albums! The Spocks Beard album is next on my list of there's to get Kevin Gilbert what an amazing talent he was (much missed, RIP) and I would love to get that album if it was reissued Haken , I just have the much vaunted The Mountain but was a little underwhelmed to say the least GodSpeed - I do have Yanqui UXO ( or whatever its called) and once in a blue moon I feel like playing it. I don't think I need more by them. On the others I will just have to plead plain ignorance

This list contains artists that I've been meaning to check out, but none that I'm overly familiar with. Godspeed You! Black Emperor is a particularly embarrassing gap in my listening. I don't like any of the artists I have heard on this poll. No vote.
