I thought the guitars are quite djenty, but then I'm a total n00b in such matters.

Yeah, I've been to that website plenty of times because they have a ton of free downloads.

The guitars are a little crunchy but not djenty, Alex.

I like what that reviewer said about how the studio itself is one of the biggest players in the album.  That really hits the nail on the head about why I like their tone so much.

Amazon has a really good $5 download sale going on this week.  They had 10-12 PA metal bands included like Between The Buried and Me, and Scale the Summit.

Icarus (Born on Wings of Steel) is a pretty sweet song.  Vintage Kansas.

Alright, Masque is really a pretty terrific album.  I think it really grew on me on my most recent listen, and today it sounded fantastic.

It's ok, I haven't seen Inception either, although I did see The Dark Knight. It was pretty good, it was annoying afterwards though because everyone for Halloween and everything was WHY SO SERIOUS? I feel like that TDK poster is going to end up on the wall of every frat house next to the Scarface poster in 5 years.

"The Pinnacle" is such an overlooked symphonic prog masterpiece.

LOL The annoying part is when my dog is knocking things over with his tail.

I am in no means a purist when it comes to Batman.  I've never read the comics so I have no idea how the story was told via the comics, although it sounds as though there are discreptions here and there over the years.  I did grow up watching the Adam West Batman TV Series, so that is probably the extent of my "Batman knowledge", which isn't much since I basically just remember the villains and Commissioner Gordon.  I did watch all 4 of the "original" Batman movies with Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, and George Clooney and these probably more then anything sculpted my vision of Batman, especially the first one with Jack Nicholson as The Joker.  Forgetting those movies, the newer Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are good, although much creepier.  They are better movies than the original 4 movies, but it is somewhat disappointing how the "history" as written in those 4 movies is mostly ignored for purposes of the 2 new movies.

Metal made them dumb then.  I can count on one hand the good uses of blast beats I've heard.

Are blast beats similar to the double bass drums that the Baldies hate so much?
