I shall still stick with my prediction of a top 5 position this season in one race.

For Di Resta? Entirely possible. I mean he's obviously got speed and is one a middle of the road team, so if one race has some higher ups retire or if he puts on an awesome drive that is absolutely possible.
If he can at least make the points for most of the season, that would be a good success and deserving of a better seat if there is one.

Also my friends place has SPEED! So while I'm here I can catch F1 Big smile
Shame I just missed it last time....ah well. Wasn't gunna drive the extra hour and a half to make it here when I was that tired, just for the race.

Gotta say it was one heck of a race weekend overall across the board!  Mike Conway grabbing his first Indy victory in Long Beach (yay, no Will Power on a road/street course), Lewis Hamilton snatching a win away from Vettel and two fantastic races at Talladega to round out the weekend.  I was hoping the last caution in the Nationwide race wouldn't have come out, as I think Nemechek could have gotten by Kyle Busch, but oh well, I still like KB winning.  And then I thought Gordon could have gotten the win when Johnson and Jr. came out of nowhere to win.

Great weekend of racing! Big smile

Absolutely. Didn't see the indy race...no idea when/where its on around me so its lucky that I catch one (aside from the indy 500 of course). As I've said in this tread that F1 race was one of the most exciting I've seen, and the finish to the cup race was nearly unbelievable. I was pulling for edwards/biffle but I knew when they went it was too soon. But it made the finish very exciting. Glad with the outcome nonetheless as well.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

I would have seen the Long Beach Gran Prix in person if I didn't have work this weekend.. I love going to that race, LB has a cool downtown.

And man, that F1 race was amazing, although Perez was a bit disappointing.

Balls, keep rubbing it in!
Well hopefully it'll be made up by more awesome GP's.

And that would've been sweet. Long Beach is a classic...and I love that roundabout around the fountain.

Quote RallyCross and the X Games were made for one another, and X Games 17 will feature one of the coolest tracks ever. The games, which will run from July 28 through July 31, will include a first-ever rally street circuit in downtown Los Angeles.

I remember Colin McRae's two attempts at the X Games, dominated the finals in both only to barrel roll and finish second, the fact he finished made him an instant hero in the US, and he only lost that first one by 0.5s to Travis Pastrana.

Went to the NYC auto show today. Was pretty cool.
They had the actual Red Bull RB6 from 2010, Vettel's championship car.

Was awesome Approve

If he gets it I'll have to stop watching F1 after 2013 when the BBC's contract runs out as he'll move it to SkySports, which I cant afford the extra £200+ a year for.

I've seen rumours that the guys that own ESPN are also having a look, which is worse because after paying for SkySports I then have to subscribe to ESPN on top of that.

Bunch of f**kwits the lot of them.

I hope he doesn't get it either.  I don't have Sky either, so I'd only be able to watch highlights.  Not only that but I'm sure he'd ruin everything too.

Ecclestone won't let him have it though, I'm sure.

Yeah, that was my original thought.

Only problem is, I honestly think he may be a borderline fascist LOL so if enough money is thrown his way......

I'm less joking about it after I found out Max Mosley's father was head of the British Fascists Shocked

The problem with that is that Bernie and Murdock are actually good mates apparently, and any sale would be between the buyer and CVC, which is a private equity firm will sell when they think they an make a big enough return on their investment. Of course, its possible its all a ploy of Bernie's to generate interest and get real possibles looking closely at F1.
