An acronym may be used instead.

More hints would be redundant.

That's right indeed. Here are the hints:

Resurrection of the dead: One of his 13 principles of faith.
A tomb is not necessarily a resting place: Although his tomb stands in Tiberias, the Jewis Cairene community claims that his final resting place is in Cairo.
Maghreb: He lived for a while in Morocco.
Between the Moors stood his cradle: He was born in Cordoba during the Moorish rule.
An acronym may be used instead: Maimonides is also known as the Rambam
More hints would be redundant: read the red letters vertically.

Regarding the first, I only found out that he had written about resurrection, acquired immortality and the afterlife. I didn’t know about the 13 principles of faith.

My new one is another male, still alive.
