I think week 17 would be our "Super Bowl" where the last two teams would play each other. I may be wrong though.

Week 17 is usually skipped in fantasy playoffs as NFL teams that have nothing to play for often bench their starters.

Now that I've seen how it works, it seems playoffs make less sense in Fantasy football.  But we'll see how it goes.

Well usually the fantasy playoffs are around this time, so ya know the starters will still play. Because yeah, it'd suck to have the playoffs when your beast players are benched :(
Though it can create some crazy moments, like when Jerome Harrison single handily got me through the playoffs!

Damn it! Demaryius Thomas is hurt :(
Edit: I tuned out (the Raiders are just painful to watch) but I guess Thomas is ok? He seems to have gotten more yards.

Let's congratulate our champion, manofmystery.  Clap

Well done!

Also, just want to point out that I kicked six butts out of seven not knowing anything.  Tongue

Thank you, Epig.  You were a very worthy opponent and had a brilliant run, considering you'd never played before.  I never expected my team to actually show up in a championship game but did they ever.

We definitely need to get the playoffs right next year, but in all things went pretty well.

About the playoffs. I am sorry people assumed that the league was set up for playoffs but I've never done one in any of my fantasy leagues. Not to say I was against it, but people should have voiced their concerns for the lack of playoffs a lot sooner. Next year I'd gladly do commissioner again, but if anyone else would like to take the reins or split duties that would be totally acceptable by me.

MoM, if you would like your prize pm with what tshirt size/color you would like and where I can mail it too. Great season everyone and I am looking forward to it next year. Hopefully hockey will be in swing next season cause I'd love to do a fantasy NHL if we got enough people.

Also, we should perhaps discuss next years draft order. Should we keep it random or go by this seasons standings. And is anyone interested in roll over players (each person gets to keep 1 guy from this seasons lineup for next season.)

Wait... there was a prize?  I didn't remember that, at all.  What's on the tshirt?

on the first page of this thread when I was trying to get enough people to sign up I said I'd buy a prog archives tshirt for anyone who won. I also stated on the last page that it would be cool if next season, last seasons winner (MoM), would treat that seasons victor with a gift or something. Maybe we could even just pass the t-shirt along like a trophy, during the off season the champion could take it to any concerts they happen to goto and snap a pic with it or even get it signed... I wish I would have been more on the ball cause I was just at the Zappa Plays Zappa show and could have got the shirt signed. Anyway that is just an idea.

Not a lot of good concerts come to Pittsburgh and I rarely get sigs when they do (with the exception of Strawbs) but it's a thought.  Like any good prog fan, I wear a large, but I'm not much for sharing clothes unless they've been cleaned, which would be tough with sigs.  I'll have to figure out where to have the tshirt shipped that allows me to remain the manofmystery.

How about I give you a zazzle.com giftcard via email and you can buy whatever progarchives gear you'd like.

I didn't think about how the cleaning would ruin the sigs. Well maybe we could do something like Epignosis did and have the champion decide an album for us all to acquire and review.

I know I don't have too, but there ought to be some sort of trophy or prize for winning. Bragging rights I suppose will do, but we're better than settling for that. I got a friend who works at a trophy/engraving place. I'm going to get a perpetual plaque with 4 name places. I'll engrave MoM's name and year of victory and whatnot and send it to him. Next year it will be his responsibility to engrave that seasons winners name and send it to them. If we can keep this going for years to come then on the 5th year we'll do something big... well bigger than a plaque.

MoM, if that is too much to be responsible for or just don't want me to mail it to you I'll hold on to it, but I'm still going to put your info on it and send it to next seasons winner.

Alrighty, I got the plaque ordered. It is a 12 spot perpetual plaque... that was the smallest one they offered. In addition to that I set up a NFL playoff challenge group @ NFL.com and was hoping we'd all join that and continue the rivalry into the post season. Give a ya or nay and I'll email you the invite. If it is anything like last year you basically get a 1qb 2rb 2wr 1te 1k 1def lineup from any of the teams in the playoffs. Players on a winning team carry over to the next week and score x2 the points, and if they win again x3 and so on...
