You're supposed to guess what the other people are doing; it's kind of like a live action detective story.
You try to deduce from their statements & votes whether they are good guys or bad guys~

No one wants to be the first one to choose someone to lynch, I see. Also Alex, I've noticed a surprising lacking character knowing your tastes - where's Zappa?

Ooh, alright. I guess that that aspect will make more sense once we get further into the game?

Yup~ if a voting pattern forms, and the person lynched is a civ, you may suspect those that voted for the civ, for instance. Or if someone who is a new player (which is most people in this game) seems to know more than they should, like what acronyms mean, for instance, it may mean they are being coached, which means a team. Which usually means Mafia. it's pretty easy to pick up. Especially if you know the people you are playing with. So you have an advantage over me that way, you know these folks, and can kinda tell if they're not being honest, or whatever, while I have no idea. Day one is always hard. After the first lynch, it gets easier.

Sorry I was away all day yesterday but I iz back nao!!!!
Bare with the game, new people, it'll make more sense as it progresses.
I know day 1 random voting sucks but in this case I don't think we really have another choice...But what I'm thinking is, some people are fast deciding to go for a no show/low post player but what I think is this, it's less likely that a no show is a baddie or else their teammates would advise them to show up... It's hard to pick up on anything from a bunch of people I dont know yet and the question remains, should I go for someone I do know? I really didn't want to because, although it sucks to lynch a new player this early it's also good to have experienced players around to help out in these first days so I really dunno what I should do. Also, SVS brought up the point of people knowing the option to vote for in the poll but do you think it would be that evident, I mean that all the indies would vote for one option?
But i'll be around tonight (my night) so i dont have to vote now.

Alright, I am going
to be gone all day today, so I will not be here to answer any questions
or keep track of the votes as the day progresses.
I will write up
the lynch post probably sometime very late tonight, which may give you
guys an extra hour or two to vote. It will likely be another 15 hours or
so from now until that time, so you have about that long to vote (but
technically 13 1/2 hours is the actual time limit).
I hope to see everyone having voted by the time I get
back. If not, well, there may be punishments.
Good luck
with everything!
You have (technically) 13 and a half hours to lynch someone.

Well, I think it is possible, or I wouldn't have said it, lol~ I have seen it happen in other games with an event. One or two people will always deviate, and then there is the fact that most of the players don't have info, so that scatters the votes. In this case, albums being the options, may spread it even more because personal taste comes in to play (that was why I voted)~
But the fact that most of the Moving Pictures votes came in late, and clumped together actually is making me think it possible that this was the option for one of the baddie teams.
So i randomized amongst the Moving Pictures voters and got~ Undercover Boy

That gives me a good idea =) Hey, Undercover boy, if you make Gentle Giant the winner of the Battle of the prog bands I won't vote for you, so... How about it?
