I saw a guy wearing a Haken shirt in an HMV (Music, movies, videogames, books, etc) today. I should have gone up to him.

I was wondering if anyone knew what this "Genesis" song is. I like it a lot, is it real?

Could you tell me which season and episode it is? 'Cause I couldn't find it on YouTube.

It was the most recent episode, "Now We're Even".
I saw that the other night and just remembered that I wanted to come on and post about it.  That was pretty funny. I was like Shocked what did he just say!!!!???

Just back from a circus. There was a six element jazz orchestra but they have played also Kashmir (Led Zeppelin) during an acrobat's play and a jazz instrumental cover of Eye In the Sky with tigers and lions.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

About 8 months ago I was in New York with my family, we were waiting in line at airport check-in to go home and I notice this guy a couple of feet in front of me was wearing a Neurosis shirt. I was wearing my Rush shirt that day and he turned around a couple seconds later and said "nice shirt" to me. Likewise, I responded to him and we chatted about Prog and Neurosis for about 8 minutes before we got to the desks.

In one episode of Home Improvement, one of the kids (the middle one, IIRC) was wearing a Neurosis Enemy Of the Sun shirt.

Last Saturday there was a documentary about the making of Pink Floyd's Wish Tou Were Here on NRK(Norwegian state owned television)1 and, at the same time, a Frank Zappa imitation on a music game show on NRK2.

What? Prog on two norwegian tv channels at once?Shocked

More of this please, NRKThumbs Up

I remember about three weeks ago my Core Humanities 202 lecture instructor played to the students something by Jethro Tull (a rendition of something classical, probably) before the beginning of the class (going into a Renaissance/Reformation discussion.)

^ That is awesome! Barney Stinson is now my new favourite character on How I Met Your Mother. It's a decent show, I don't watch as much as I used to.

Yeah, I used to watch that show all time with my parents, but I never saw that episode. I'm pretty sure the kid's name is Mark, if I'm not mistaken.
Here's an image of the scene:

Awesome! Approve

I just heard the house organist for the TD Banknorth Garden play a segment of Distant Early Warning durning the game 7 Bruins vs Capitols. Around 16:45 or so in the 3rd period is when it occurred.

I don't know if this had been posted before.

Is this just me or is this quite Tull Big smile ? Showmanship and a bit of theatricality. Quite a parody there Big smile .

I don't know if this counts, but my buddy showed me this at school the other day:

No idea. Both sound like Yes, knockoffs, to me! With the exception of the vocals, of course.

Did you catch the "Court of the Crimson King" cover lying on the floor?

I've been to Frisco less than a year ago, and one day me, my mother, and her acquaintances went to this music store, with new stuff (and probably some used stuff as well.) I've been looking around, and I saw ... a wrapped vinyl cover of DSOTM ... . Really? A vinyl? Too bad I don't have a gramophone! I kept looking and I found ... whatta ... Can's "Monster Movie" ! Really? They sell that? And then somewhere I saw ... whatta ... "Inner Mounting Flame" ! After that I found Holger Czukay's "Movies" ! No way, man. They sell those? For me that was unexpected. And they weren't used !
