A question about the game;  what happens once the Mafia's "killers" are gone?  Can the teams then only win by slowly lynching every remaining good/independent character?

Usually if the leader dies, the kill power passes down to the surviving team members.

This is the case in this game.

As long as there is one Mafia member on the team, the kill will remain.

Guys.... day means DISCUSSION. If you ever want to play mafia you have to post at least enough to keep the thread somewhat alive. Otherwise I'm going to assume you're all lazy, shiftless blobs of purple jello! Wink

Indeed. This isn't all random, despite what it may seem. There is a method to my madness. And some sort of revelation through discussion could be the difference between a poor lynch and a triumphant one.

Also, BLOBS OF PURPLE JELLO ARE THE BEST. I miss that game; that was a great game.

What to discuss? Please don't let it be about your favorite Magma bassist again.

I mostly prefer him because of his playing on Weidorje's album.

A word of warning/notice; from tomorrow until Sunday evening I'll be mostly gone from PA (I'll be on some tomorrow but not much, barely any Friday, and not at all on Saturday or before like 5 on Sunday).

You get to vote only once for any one player who you think is most worthy to be lynched, yes. The player who receives the most votes will be lynched.

Edit: Of course, this excludes any slight chance that there be any interference via any of the roles, but yes, that's the basic concept.

Yeah, but we're supposed to try to make it strategic in some way, which at this point in the game is a bit difficult I think since we have nothing to go on, really.

Yes, Day 1 is a fickle beast. Things will inevitably become more clear with time, especially after some activity.

When I'm a player, if I'm ever clueless as to any of my reads on anyone for a lynch, I usually re-read previous posts and see if anything strikes me oddly (or if the absence of anyone's posts for a long time seems to strike me oddly).

There is always something to go by, but the fact that it's Day 1 and hardly anyone's been talking doesn't help. Still, there can be theories made as to what has been going on so far in the game.

My theory: the mafia killed the Decemberists! Shocked

Bet no one else has come up with that one yet. Approve
