When I refer to Tool fanboys, I of course mean the people who go "OMGZ U IDIOTZ HOW CAN U KNOT THINK TOOL R TEH GRAETEST BAND EVERZ?!?!" or the ones who claim that you have to "prove" that you like Tool "enough". But I'm sure no one on here is like that. Big%20smile

Man... there's no way. I'll just rattle off some that I think of: "Cygnus X-1" (both), "YYZ", "La Villa Strangiato", "Digital Man", "Between the Wheels", etc. etc.

Hm. Cygnus X-I pt. 1. 5 stars. Hemispheres. 2 stars (I admit, would be fairly fond of it if the lyrics shaped up a little, and if it did a little more musically. YYZ. 2 stars (sort of produces a shrug effect on me. Not bad, just no impact and the guitar's not to my taste. A Live version did sound better when I heard it). La Villa Strangiato. 4 stars. Very good stuff. Love the Spanish-on-electric solo (as I call it, probably wrongly) on there so much. Digital Man. Not Heard. Between The Wheels 3/4 stars. Good stuff, even if the lyrics grate a little at times.

Have to admit I'm probably a fairly harsh judge of Rush overall, so the ratings can be upped by a star to compensate. More into the atmospheric stuff, and Rush don't really have a lot of expansion potential for me. I'll like a Rush song or lyric or not like it. They're mostly too set-in-stone to grow on me.

Yeah, I know what you mean there. Everyone definitely has their own taste; I personally love every aspect of the lyrics and the music. Big%20smile

Digital Man is on Signals. You might like that album. Not sure.

It'd be fun if someone on here was like that, then we could annoy them and tell them Tool was terrible

..I do like tool a lot, but it'd be fun to mess with someone like that

I have to agree, but only by a slight slight bit. Rush got me into prog in the first place.
