I shall try to... I'm 3 to 4 days behind on P.A. so I have some catching up to do.

I have to laugh sometimes at the way we talk about this place - really like a job sometimes!  Tongue

Exactly, 'cause we don't do any work, just like real work. LOL

We just make excuses and go on forums even when work consists of doing work for a forum. LOL

Matter of fact, I'm teaching tomorrow.  Not WORKING, mind you.  One school wants to see me in action before they make the final decision.  Then I have to go from that school clear across town for another interview at 3.

It's a busy day tomorrow!

Ugh, that sucks.

Well, now I'm listening to Upsilon Acrux.

I made grilled cheese and tomato soup.  Didn't care for either.

Thanks guys!  By Monday, I'll either be working and buying good beer once again or still unemployed and complaining about the government.

Their newest, Galapagos Momemtum.

I'm usually not a big fan of Math Rock but this is absolutely mind-blowing!

That's because it's more related to prog than most math-rock.

Indeed, they're actually still in avant-prog.  The Math Rock/Post team wanted them but we managed to keep them. Big smile

There's a lot of Krimson in their sound.  Also check out their influences on their MySpace:

Magma, This Heat, John Coltrane, King Crimson, Ornette Coleman, Polvo, Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart, Derek Bailey, the Ruins, Nels Cline Trio, Albert Marcoueur, Van Halen, Fredrik Thodenal's Special Defect, Necrophagist, Don Caballero, Harry Pussy, Faust, Neu!!, Cardiacs, Takemura, US Maple, Henry Cow. This list could be so long and stupid and so detailed that you thought I was just making sh*t up. These are some essentials and that's more than enough.

If I don't get either of these jobs, I'll be so bummed...not even prog and beer could cheer me up.  Ouch

But I'm optimistic.  Smile

Optimism is almost as good as Van der Graaf Generator but it's better than most things. Big smile

And as much as I dislike their compositions, my respect for ELP has gone up a little.  Emerson is a beast on the keys!
