I know Steven Wilson has said that he doesn't condone those kind of things but I feel that that is too strong a subject matter to write about.

Someone has to write about them.  If no one exposes the works of darkness, then who will fight them?  You're entitled to choose what music you do and don't want to listen to (and I quite understand not being fond of that particular song; even though I'm not familiar with it, the subject matter as described here doesn't exactly sound pleasant).  But I admire any artist who has the courage to stand up and say something about the evil in this world.

I'm pretty sure that these lyrics condone sexual abuse. That is why it offends me. But I admit there is chance that I could be misunderstanding what the lyrics mean. If the latter is the case, Then what are the lyrics trying to say?

The lyrics are about the sexual abuse of young girls by religious cults - they are relating the story of the "Incident" not condoning it. Just because a lyric refers to a particular act it does not mean that they are condoning that act. If a character in a Shakespeare play condones the murder of someone it does not mean that Shakespeare condoned that murder.

I still think that the majority of bad and controversial lyricists are the ones that never play or create an album of music, and then SING it ... very 20th/21st century thing with all the blogs, clogs, and troggs and boards, wouldn't you say, Dean?
