Well me too. I just didn't expect a thing like that receive praise on a prog site is all.
It's also one of the only KISS records I truly adore from start to finish. It was way back when Peter Chris actually sounded cool and on top of things. I certainly don't need to see any pre goth make-up to enjoy this album, that's for sure.

Another candidate:
ADll - Yeti
Psychedelic heavy as hell masterpiece. You can use this album to start earthquakes.

Blonde on Blonde, Exile on Main Street, Chicago III, Tanz der Lemmings, Bitches Brew, Wheels of Fire, Layla (and Other...), Four Way Street, Untitled, A Tab in the Ocean, Tago Mago, Gift from a Flower to a Garden....really too many to name.

Better:  Favorite triple albums....All Things Must Pass and Concert for Bangladesh, Europe '72, Elevator Over the Hill, Shut Up and Play Yer Guitar, Vol. 2, and my personal favorite, Santana's Lotus.
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway would be a good second.
I listened to SitKoL again last week and I think I may have to agree with you here.  Absolutely brilliant album!  A 5 star masterpiece if ever there was one.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. Big smile
I realize that it is the first time that I vote for it in a poll like this. It's certainly an album that can keep on growing on you, through the years.

Vote for your favourite double album. http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/pages/double_album

All those albums in that list are fantastic.  This thread reminds me to grab that Clapton/Allman album out of the archives for another listen :)
