Topic: Your favorite track from "Odessey and Oracle" Posted: February 02 2013 at 23:18 |
I thought now would be a good time to do a poll on this psych-Baroque pop classic. I'm very surprised this hasn't been done before.
Me? ... I'm not sure. I'm gonna have to think about it.

It's a really fantastic album all the way through and a tough choice. I love the mellotron on Hung Up On A Dream and Changes, but the unbridled optimism of This Will Be Our Year (and the trumpet part) make that my choice.

Now that's a tough poll. That album is a masterpiece from beginning to end and I can't think of one weak track off of it. As for best, wow. My favorites are probably: Care of Cell 44, A Rose for Emily, Beechwood Park, Brief Candles, Changes, Butcher's Tale and Time of the Season. Geez, that's over half the album. Not sure I can choose any one of those.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Time Of The Season, which is a fantastic track. Quite a creative album as a whole... BTW haven't listened to Argent yet, which is also supposed to be good, or at least some of their stuff, as well as some Blunstone solo.

^I think Ring of Hands and Nexus are probably Argent's best two works. At least their proggiest.

I still can't come up with an answer. Screw it; it's a tie between ...

... what this guy said, except for "Changes" (not one of my favorites).
