Hello everybody,

I'm not sure this is the right sub-forum to post this message...

Anyway, we are a prog rock band from Osaka composed of 5 members, with a female vocalist, and we just released a demo CD with 3 songs, modestly entitled "demo II"  :)

These songs were written when Dream Breaker was just a 2-member-band (guitarist and vocalist), it sounds more "traditional metal" than what we're doing now, which leans toward a lighter sound.

The lyrics are either written in japanese or english.

Now we are focusing on getting gigs in the area and recording our "Demo III" ; as we don't have much money, we record all the drums parts with Cubase.

We like bands like Porcupine Tree, Anathema, Amplifier, Katatonia, Opeth, Aerosmith, Rush, Riverside, etc.

Gonna check, thanks a lot.

By the way, your project have released only demo stuffs ... so this thread should be moved into "Unsigned Bands".

Good luck! Cool

EDIT: No problem you can post here, sorry for my mistake.

As the topic has not been moved yet, i continue to post here :

Last week, we did a live in the new mall (Q's Mall in Tennoji), where there is a brand new live house called "Rock Town". It had a great sound AND we could play for free, incredible !

Here is a short video of the show :

It would make sense for this to be posted here, right? Essentially the Welcome Artists and Unsigned Bands are synonymous in my opinion.

Tennoji changed a lot recently, you would not recognize it !

By the way, we plan to release a new demo CD in july, and we created a "chirashi" that we will distribute at our shows. Let us know what you think !

Hello, just a quick message to tell you that we just finished our demo CD 3, which contains 3 songs. The drum parts were made with Cubase, and the whole was mixed with Sonar.
We are not professionals, so the sound is far from perfect ;)

Please tell us what you think ! Geek

The name, the logo and vocals (LOL) remind me of a (now) famous prog metal band.

Thank you ! Here is a live footage of our new song, "neptune's horses" :

The sound balance is not that good, we'll try to post something better next time !

Progressive rock in Japan seems to have stopped in the 1970's. Almost nobody here knows about Porcupine Tree or Anathema even though we can find some CDs in Tower Records. On the other hand, french bands like Magma, Heldon, and Ange seem to be quite popular among progressive rock fans.

If you come to Tokyo, the record store chain Disk Union has a Progressive Rock specialist store in Shinjuku. This store has a huge range of modern and classic prog rock, both new and used.
